Bryan Shields

Bryan Allan Shields December 25, 1981-January 3, 2014 Bryan Allan Shields passed away unexpectedly on January 3rd, 2014 at the age of 32 years. Bryan is survived by his wife, Lindsay, and his three sons, Jordan, Damon, and Landon. He also is survived by his parents, Jim and Val, his sisters, Becky and Pam, brother, Jim and grandfather, Bernard Clark. Bryan was born in Raymond and spent most of his school years in Coaldale, Alberta. He excelled as an athlete with a focus and passion for basketball. He served a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in California. Following his mission, he moved to Calgary, attended SAIT, and played for the school's basketball team. There, he met his future wife. Bryan and Lindsay were married August 27, 2005 and later sealed in the Cardston Alberta temple on September 2, 2006. They moved to Lethbridge where Bryan attended LC and continued playing basketball. He graduated from LC with a diploma in Business Management. Bryan and Lindsay were blessed with three beautiful children. Bryan loved being a father and spending quality time with his sons. As a family they enjoyed: playing basketball, bowling, yard work, jumping on the trampoline, and many more activities. On many occasions Bryan expressed that his family was his whole world and was thankful for the Plan of Salvation. Bryan worked for a few years with his parents at CCWG. During this time, he was also involved within the SABOA basketball league as a referee. He decided to change careers and recently acquired his Class 1 license. He was currently working for Hughson Trucking. Bryan was well known for his compassion and his willingness to help others in need. He was also described as outgoing and friendly bringing a positive energy and a smile to those around him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, NORTHSIDE CHAPEL, 2223-6 A. Avenue North, Lethbridge.
