Beverley Rees

REES Beverley Ann Rees, age 72, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday November 28, 2014. She is survived by her second husband Kenneth W. Rees, her two sisters Raelene Frache and Bonnie Perry, her six children Douglas Raymond Francis (Carmela), Kerri Ann Gromer (Larry), Jody Rae Francis, Janis Lynn Christensen (Leon), Bradley John Francis (Catherine), Deanna Marie Wilson (Dean), her 20 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 step daughters Catherine Uvedale Evans (James) and Kellie Patricia Rees. She was predeceased by her first husband John Melvin Francis and her parents Raymond Palmer Hallan and Millicent Pauline Ukrainetz. Beverley was born on October 30, 1942 in Cranbrook, British Columbia. She and her family moved to Lethbridge, Alberta when she was seven years old. She married John Francis on October 8, 1960 in Lethbridge. They raised their family in Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer and Lethbridge. John passed away on July 9, 1991. She married Kenneth Rees on March 28, 1997 in Cardston, Alberta. She and John joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in December 1962. She was active in the Church, serving in many callings and assignments of a charitable nature. She was trained in the art of cake decorating and for several years she owned her own business in Red Deer. She also owned and operated Ancestor Find, a genealogical research business specializing in forensic family history research. Family history was one of her true passions. She was happiest when surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Her life was dedicated to her family and serving all those around her. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her and treated everyone like family. Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 560 Highlands Blvd. West Lethbridge, Alberta, on Wednesday December 3 at 11:30 a.m. There will be a light luncheon following the service.
