BEULAH ROBERTA MANVILLE of Lethbridge passed away on Monday, November 29, 2010 at the age of 98 years. She is survived by four children: Gordon (Judy) of Lethbridge, Rae (Linda) of Calgary, Barbara (Tim) Mosley of Missouri City, Texas and Art (Terry) of Tenino, Washington; 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Charlie Manville, and her parents Samuel and Louisa Malmberg, and one granddaughter. Beulah was born in High River, Alberta and was raised on a homestead as an only child. She did not start school until she was 8 because she had to be able to take care of her horse at school. After attending school in Calgary she joined her parents on a journey with wagons and cattle to help her parents start a new homestead in Rosemary, Alberta. In 1941 she married Charlie and lived in Blackie where they operated Manville Hardware until 1962. The family moved to Calgary when they purchased the Ogden Drive In Restaurant. During this time she brought many young men into her home to live. She was always known by her kindness to others. After Charlie's death in 1980, she lived in the Villa in Cardston for five years until moving to Lethbridge. She had a special way of making lifelong friends wherever she lived. A special thanks to Edith Cavell for their excellent care. Friends may meet the family on Sunday, December 5 from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge, or prior to the service in Calgary from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, SUNDANCE CHAPEL, 100 Sunpark Dr. S.E., Calgary, AB. Interment in the Union Cemetery, Calgary.
