
BETH WALKER ZEMP 1914 - 2009 Beth Walker Zemp passed away peacefully on May 12, 2009 at the age of 94 years. She was a beautiful, loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was born May 31, 1914 in Raymond, Alberta, the second child of James H. and Mary Elizabeth Ann Harris (Fanny) Walker. She resided in Raymond through out her entire life. After training to become a teacher, she taught school in Welling and Raymond. She loved teaching and had a passion for finding ways to help each student reach his or her potential. She was a devoted and loving companion to her beloved husband, Earl William Zemp, who she married March 22, 1940 in the Cardston Alberta Temple. Earl preceded her in death December 13, 1993. Throughout her life, Beth loved to be active. She loved gardening and growing beautiful flowers. She had a passion for music, playing the piano, singing. She loved sports of all kinds. She was compassionate; service oriented and was always doing something special for someone. She was active in numerous church callings. She devoted much time and talent to her family. She was loved and respected by all of her associates. She is survived by her children, Marilyn (Bruce) Dockstader - St. George, Utah; Richard (Julia) - Westport, Connecticut; Robert (Eileen) - Edmonton, Mark (Norma) - Raymond, 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; her siblings, Faye Walker; Mary Fairbanks; Jane McMullin; Ralph Walker - Raymond and Reed Walker - Brigham City, Utah. Beth's family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Raymond Hospital, Long Term Care, for caring so lovingly for her. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Raymond Stake Centre, with Bishop Ron McMullin officiating. Interment in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond. Friends may meet the family at the church on Friday, May 15, 2009 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday morning, May 16 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
