Barry Skilling

BARRY JOHN SKILLING passed away in Lethbridge on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the age of 55 years. Barry is survived by his wife Jenny Dondale, his sisters Gail (Llyn) Whenham, and Donna (Ed) Tolsma. Barry is predeceased by his parents Hertha and John Skilling, and his sister Lynn Skilling. Barry was in the Windy West Flying Club. He was always helpful and liked giving ideas, especially with radio-controlled airplanes. He enjoyed the pattern flying and entered many contests, even winning a few. Barry liked to tinker and was quite a handyman. He worked the latter part of his working years for Canadian Freightways, as a lead man, working up from a pick-up and delivery boy and a long haul truck driver. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge. Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Box 2211, Lethbridge, AB T1J 4K7.
