Barbara MacLean

With peace, love and great sadness we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother and grandmother on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 in Lethbridge, Alberta. BARBARA MACLEAN is lovingly remembered by her husband, Neil and two children: Susan (Brian) and Brad (Tracy); together with her beloved grandchildren: Colton, Moira, Shayna and Keelia, Chase and Ashley. She is survived by her brother, Rex (Sally); and sisters, Mabel (Glenn), Margaret (Willie), Peggy (Peter), Patty (Dennis); and brother and sisters-in-law, Marilyn, Allen (Connie), Beverly and Martin. She will be fondly remembered by numerous family and friends. Barbara is predeceased by her first son, Rodney; father and mother, Parley and Grace Williams; brothers, Gordon and Heber; and brother-in-law Ted. Barbara Williams was born in Cardston February 22, 1937. She lived in Drayton Valley after marrying Neil MacLean on April 2, 1956. They retired to Lethbridge in 1997. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was faithful to her Church and friends. She will be very sadly missed but lovingly remembered for her love to laugh and gentle spirit. Our family would like to express appreciation to all the staff at St. Michaels Palliative Care Centre, Noreen, Janice, and Jovita for their kind and compassionate care. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Fairmont Chapel, 205 Fairmont Blvd. S., Lethbridge, with Bishop Merrill Steed officiating. Interment to follow in Drayton Valley on Monday, January 8, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire (in lieu of flowers), memorial tributes may be made to the St. Michaels Palliative Care Unit, 1400-9 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 4V5; or the ALS Society of Alberta, 400-230-23 Ave. S.W., Calgary, AB T2S 0J2.
