Audrey Takahashi

AUDREY IVYLEAN TAKAHASHI of Claresholm, beloved wife of the late Joseph Takahashi passed away peacefully on Friday, January 25, 2008 at the Garden View lodge in Lethbridge at the age of 80 years. She is the loving mother of: Maurice Takahashi of Vancouver, Washington, Penny Takahashi of Crowsnest Pass, and Noreen (Roger) Thompson of Beaumont, AB. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Wesley Takahashi, Brenda Doris, Steven, McKenzie, Delaney Thompson, and one great grandchild, Roosty Doris. Audrey is predeceased by her husband, Joseph M. Takahashi. Audrey was born in Enfield, Middlesex, England where she met her husband, Joseph, who was stationed in London in 1947. They were engaged and Joseph returned to Raymond, Alberta in 1949. Audrey came to Canada in 1949 and they were wed December 31, 1949. They lived on the McIntyre Ranch in the early years of their marriage and later resided in Raymond. The last 30 years they resided in Claresholm, Alberta. Audrey loved handcrafts and spent many hours sewing, knitting, needlepoint, paper tole, and embroidery. She was courageous in her struggle with pain that she endured for many, many years. She has now found rest and freedom. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge, with Father James Schovanek officiating. Cremation.
