
AUDREY LAYCOCK, beloved wife of Hugh W. Laycock of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 7th, 2007, at the age of 82 years. Survived by husband, Hugh; children: Bill (Carol) Lethbridge, Brent (Kathy) Calgary, Kim (Glenda) Raymond, Melanie Bastian Orem, Utah, Roxanne (Mark) Bingham Calgary; 27 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren; sisters: Vivian Holmes, Gwenyth Magnussen, Joan (Joe) Zubach; sisters-in-law: Lois Laycock, Merne Livingstone, Lucy Laycock. Born in Barnwell, Alberta, June 24, 1924 to Harry and Armrel (Johnson) Storie. Moved to Lethbridge in 1936. Married Hugh Laycock in the Cardston Temple on December 16, 1943 and moved to the family farm, raised their family and returned to Lethbridge in 1973. Audrey worked for 20 years in the drapery department of Sears. She was an active and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served two missions with her husband in the Lethbridge Stake and Salt Lake City Family History Center. Audrey will always be remembered for her friendly and caring nature and her wonderful sense of humour. She was forever interested in people and how she could make others' lives better. She will be sadly missed by her family and all who were privileged to know her. Each of her grandchildren were convinced they were her favourite. Funeral Services will be held at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, LETHBRIDGE EAST STAKE CENTRE, 4105 Forestry Avenue South, Lethbridge, on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Ronald Murphy officiating. Friends may meet the family at GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703 - 13 St. North, Lethbridge, on Friday, January 12 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. or at the Church prior to the service from 10:00 am to 10:45 am. Interment in the Mountain View Cemetery. Our family expresses appreciation to all the staff at Adaptacare for their kind and loving service.
