Arvilla Pitcher

ARVILLA PITCHER, beloved wife of DeCon, passed away peacefully in Raymond on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at the age of 85 years. Arvilla's life of service was widespread in her family, church, and community. Grandma Pitcher remembered every grandchild's birthday and speaking of these treasures always brought a twinkle to her eye. Surviving Arvilla is her loving husband, DeCon Pitcher and their children, Jolene (Jim) Paxman of Raymond, Linda (Russ) White of Bow Island, Ken (Deb) Pitcher of Lethbridge, David (Carol) Pitcher of Orem, Utah, and Maureen (Darcy) Barfuss of Hillspring. Her love and influence will be forever felt by 29 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Arvilla is also survived by a sister-in-law, Irene Smith, a brother, Lorne (Virginia) Smith, and a sister, Sharon (Chad) Howells, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased family members include her loving parents, Orvil and Clara Smith, and her brother Earl Smith. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, September 18, 2008 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703 - 13 Street North, Lethbridge or from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral service at the church. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Knight Street Chapel, Raymond with Bishop Ronald McMullin officiating. Interment to follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery.
