ARVEL WAYNE FOOTE, beloved husband of Lynn Foote passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2010, suddenly at his home in Welling, Alberta. Arvel was born April 7, 1934 to Eldred and Letha Foote in Lethbridge, Alberta. He is survived by his sister Jeanette and his children: Tony (Doryta), Letha Brussow, Stephen (Sylvia), Cheryl (Darryl), Shane (Shannon), Tricia (Rick), 22 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, and an infant grandson. Arvel grew up on the family farm in Welling, where he learned the value of hard work and commitment. He applied these values to every aspect of his life. On September 25, 1957, he and Lynn were sealed in the Cardston Temple for time and all eternity. Arvel held various positions in the LDS Church including serving a mission in New Zealand and most recently served as a Temple Ordinance Worker. His gentle spirit was a blessing to all those around him. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, thoughtfulness, and willingness to give in any way he was able. He is dearly loved and will be missed by his family to whom he was devoted. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Welling Chapel, Welling, AB, with Bishop Byron Wilde officiating. Friends may meet the family prior to the service at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment to follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond. Memorial donations may be made to the Ward Missionary Fund, Welling Ward, c/o Bishop Byron Wilde; or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Box 2211, Lethbridge, AB T1J 4K7.
