BULLOCK ANNA 'LAVAUN' BULLOCK, widow of Glen C. Bullock, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the age of 96 years. LaVaun was born on March 16, 1918 in Stirling, Alberta, to the late Seth and Clara Peterson. She married Glen Bullock on January 5, 1938 in Cardston, Alberta. Together they had four children, Carol (Bill) Bennett of Utah; Wayne (Karen) Bullock of Raymond; Glenda (Ellis) Stonehocker of Okotoks; Reid (Nancy) Bullock of Arizona. She leaves behind nineteen grandchildren, and thirty-seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Beth Christensen (late Cliff), brother Floyd Peterson (late Merna) and Peggy. LaVaun was predeceased by a brother, Woody (Patricia) Peterson and a sister, Louise. She was in all respects a real artist ; one who grew beautiful gardens and flowers, mended and extended the life of worn out apparel and then often turned it into a beautiful quilt. Many friends benefited from her ability to cut and style hair. This she did out of her home for 21 years. Upon retirement, by self-training and persistence she became an accomplished oil painter. LaVaun was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and joyfully served wherever called. One of her favourite callings was the fifteen years spent with her husband Glen in genealogical name extraction. Special thanks are extended to the wonderful caring home teachers and friends of the Raymond 8th ward, especially after Glen passed away. The seven years spent in the Raymond Lodge was one of appreciation for their tender care, as well as to the Raymond medical profession who enabled her to have long and useful life until the very end. She will be dearly missed. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, KNIGHT STREET CHAPEL, 260 E 200 N., Raymond. Friends may meet the family prior to the Funeral Service from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. Interment to follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond.
