
AMY CHARLOTTE HUNTER WOODRUFF, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2009 in her home at the age of 73. Amy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Harold and her sisters Emma, Mary and Betty. She is survived by her siblings, Floyd, Barbara, Deloris, Pearl, Ruby, Opal, and Arthur; her daughter La Nora and family, Jessica & Rob, Tamala & Jared, their children Justin & Taylor, Troy Burrows (serving a Mission), and Jocelyn; and her son Lawrence & Donna and family, Virginia & Jared, their children Emily, Bradley, Levi, and Alicia, Kathalina, Brian, & child Xyla, Venessa & Eli, Patricia, Jared, & child Venessa, Theresa and Jeremiah. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served diligently in many callings. The calling she enjoyed the most was chaperoning the Youth dances for over 20 years. She was actively involved in Family History work. She was well known for her quilt-making and other handiwork. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren all have at least one specially made quilt from her. She was born and finished her public school in Idaho, and married Harold in the Cardston Temple. They lived in Utah and Alberta. She enjoyed keeping a garden. She was very independent, self-reliant, and frugal. Amy and Harold had a large number of family, friends, and acquaintances that she continued to keep in touch with after his passing. Her most cherished adventure was the Wilford Woodruff tour she went on with her siblings and other relatives. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Friends may meet with the family from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, 2223-6a Ave. N.,Lethbridge with Bishop Bob Bender officiating. A Graveside Service will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the Glenwood Cemetery.
