Alfred Yanke

ALFRED YANKE October 6, 1921 - July 19, 2008 ALFRED YANKE, beloved husband of Mildred Yanke, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at the age of 86, after a lengthy illness, with his wife and grandson by his side. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Mildred of 62 years; his son, Wes (Jackie) Yanke of Medicine Hat; his daughter, Myrna (Guy) Matheson of Granum, and daughter-in-law, Dolores Yanke of Lethbridge. Also missing their grandpa are 4 grandchildren: Jody Yanke of Medicine Hat, Michael Yanke of Edmonton, Ryan (Shawna) Felesky of Edmonton, Monica Yanke of Lethbridge; and two great grandchildren, Rylan and Reid Felesky. Alfred had numerous nieces and nephews that thought the world of their uncle. Alfred was predeceased by his oldest son, Glenn, in 2007. Alfred (Dad) was a soft spoken, gentle man with a huge heart. There was nothing he would not do for his family. Everyone that knew him will feel the loss of this wonderful man. Alfred's final resting place will be in Medicine Hat, following a private family service. Donations may be made in Alfred's memory to the Alberta Lung Association, P.O. Box 4500, Stn. South, Edmonton, AB T6E 6K2. "You did all you could do." It is time to rest.
