My beloved Zenia quietly slipped away Thursday morning - ending a battle against breast cancer which lasted many years. She made me promise she would pass away at home and she did. The last few weeks were very hard for her because of breathing issues but she had no pain all those years. Zenia decided to keep her illness a secret and I had to promise not to tell and I kept that promise. From all the messages I have received its clear she was a star in the energy industry - first oil, then natural gas, and finally electricity - many co-workers confirmed that with their kind words.
Zenia is survived by her grieving husband Vern, a brother Henry Kowalski( Evelyn ) , a sister Audrey Krol (John) and nieces Jessica, Heidi , Katrina and nephews Karmen and Jeremy.
Her love for all of our dogs over the years was unmatched - I don't think she ever met a dog she didn't love!
