Trevor Vernon Melnychuk

Trevor Vernon Melnychuk, beloved husband to Renay Ashton, passed away suddenly at home on October 13, 2020. He was 46 years old.

As well as by his love Renay, Trevor will be deeply missed by his daughter Randa Melnychuk of Lethbridge AB, his step-daughter Jessica Wiebe of Lethbridge, step-son Steven Ashton of Red Deer AB, and his grand-daughter Hayley Bronson of Lethbridge. He is also survived by his mother Glenda Schumacher of Lethbridge, and brothers; Mike Melnychuk of Dublin Ireland, Steve Melnychuk of Lethbridge, Dave Melnychuk of Lethbridge, and his two nephews; William and Devan Melnychuk, also of Lethbridge.

He is predeceased by his father Dennis Melnychuk of Yorkton SK.

Trevor was born and spent his first few years in Yorkton Saskatchewan, until his family moved to Lethbridge in 1979. This is where he would call home and spend the rest of his life. He attended LCI High School, and then started a career as a chicken catcher. He became well known as one of the best, and worked with the same contractor for about 10 years, until Sunrise Poultry took over the company. He continued to work for Sunrise Poultry for nearly another 10 years.

Trevor was known as "Mr. Fix-It". There was nothing he couldn't do, and you could always count on him to get the job done.

Trevor truly enjoyed the outdoors. Whether it was biking or fishing, having fires or going on long walks, being outdoors with Renay, his dog Rocky, granddaughter Hayley or step-daughter Jessica, is where he was happiest. He also enjoyed going on long walks by himself.

He will be missed.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, October 23, 2020, at 3:00pm with greet the family starting at 2:00pm, at Christensen Salmon Generations Funeral Home; 703 13 St N, Lethbridge, AB. Close friends and family are welcome to Jessica's home following the service to celebrate Trevor. Social distancing guidelines must be followed, and please bring a mask.
