Sara Grace Guthmiller

Sara Grace Guthmiller, beloved daughter of Denise and Mat Guthmiller, and cherished sister to Brandon Guthmiller, passed away suddenly at Alberta Children’s Hospital on January 10, 2022, at the age of 15.

Sara was born on October 26, 2006, in Lethbridge, Alberta. She was an easy-going, laid-back baby, who grew into an inquisitive child. She loved God and loved to learn, do arts and crafts, dress up like a princess, play with her friends, and had a passion for helping people.

As Sara grew older, dress up was set aside for fashion, and she had her own take on it (safety pins were her favourite accessories). General arts and crafts were mostly focused on painting, sketching and beadwork. Being with her friends was a highlight for Sara. She grew to have a lot of questions about God, but still loved him unconditionally.

Sara had many friends everywhere, including those from various youth groups, school choir, the Immanuel Blacklight Team and at the Lethbridge Boxing Club.

She had a gift of ‘seeing people’.  Sara was known to stop and talk to the kids in the hallways to make sure they were doing well.

She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

A celebration of life will take place on Friday January 28, 2022, at 7:00 PM. Due to current covid restrictions, attendance numbers must be limited, so we invite friends to join via live-stream. A link will appear below this obituary 15 minutes before service time.
