Ronald Alan Poole, beloved husband of Carol-Ann of Lethbridge, Alberta, passed away suddenly on July 29, 2025, at the age of 74 years.
Ron was born in Drumheller and raised in Three Hills, Alberta. After receiving a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta, he moved to Drumheller, where he married the love of his life, Carol-Ann. While working at Page Agencies in Drumheller, they raised their family together. Over the years, Ron's work in the insurance industry took him to High River, until the great flood of 2013. In 2016, Ron and Carol-Ann moved to Lethbridge to be closer to their family.
In his early years, Ron was an active member of the Drumheller Kinsmen Club. Serving as Deputy Fire Chief for the Drumheller Fire Department was a tremendous source of pride for him.
Ron and Carol-Ann enjoyed traveling together. They often golfed at their condo in Meadow Lake, Montana, and loved taking Alaskan cruises.
Ron is survived by his daughters, Julie (Peter) Vereschagin and Sarah (Mike) Fraser, both of Lethbridge. He will be greatly missed by his four grandchildren—Jayden, Stoya, Saulanna, and Taiya—and his faithful lap dog, Sasha. He is also survived by his sister, Karen Scott of Red Deer.
Ron was predeceased by his parents, Ron and Marge Poole of Three Hills.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 21, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. at the Sandman Signature Lethbridge Lodge, 320 Scenic Drive South, Lethbridge.
