Robert "Alan" Reginald John Gibson

     Robert “Alan” Reginald John Gibson, beloved eternal companion of Michelle (Sivyer) Gibson of Raymond, Alberta, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at the age of 53 years.

     Alan is the loving son of Margaret Alberta (Barnes) Schneider of Penticton, B.C. currently residing in Raymond, AB. He is also survived by his siblings: Karen Schneider, Marcie (Kelly) Roberts and Cliff Schneider; Michelle’s brother Art (Alannah) Sivyer and many other loving extended family members. Alan will especially be missed by Taco and Tuesday who are waiting for “Daddy” to come home to take them for their individual walks.

     Alan was predeceased by his biological father Robert Carl Gibson of Penticton B.C., his stepfather John Robert Schneider of Penticton B.C. and brother John Paul Schneider.

     Alan was born in Burnaby B.C., living in Kitimat B.C. through his school years. Before setting his own heart on fire and marrying Michelle in 1998, Alan spent 15 years as a volunteer fireman at the Kitimat fire department. He treasured these friendships and memories. Alan’s commitment to loving and being there for his eternal companion, guided him to choose the safer course, serving in his community and in several callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Alan and Michelle wrote their own fairytale together. He was the most tender of Prince Charmings. Michelle receives comfort at this time knowing that their fairytale will continue on.

     A celebration of Alan’s Life will be held at 6:00pm on Friday, January 31, 2020 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taylor Street Chapel, in Raymond AB. with Brother Guy Hambly officiating.
