Ricky Floyd Collier

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ricky Floyd Collier of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Debbie Collier on April 20, 2024 at the age of 69 years.

Ricky is the loving father of Shawnah (Travis) and Kelly; a cherished grandpa to Jessica (Noah), Alyssa (Braxton) and Sarah. He is survived by his siblings Raymond, Randy, Gary, Michelle, Greg (Karen), Shanon (Corrine), Troy (Tara) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Wells & Ruth Collier, his sister Charlene, niece Sharla and his brother-in-law Dave.

Rick grew up in Hardiville and married his childhood sweetheart Debbie on September 25, 1971 and together they welcomed two beautiful daughters Shawnah & Kelly. They celebrated their 53 years of marriage last September. Rick followed in his fathers’ footsteps and began a career as a sheet metal mechanic. He was an entrepreneur at heart and ran his own company for years. Rick had a great love for all animals. He especially loved his horses, which he had on his acreage out by Magrath, residing there for over 20 years. He really did love being on the farm. Rick was also an amazing cook, spending time in the kitchen making delicious meals was something he deeply enjoyed, and he made sure to use every dish in the process! In his spare time Rick enjoyed fishing and camping, sitting by the fire having a beer, playing his guitar, and singing. His granddaughters were the highlight of his life, and he would do anything for them. His family meant everything to him, and he loved every moment he could be with them. He is deeply loved and will be forever missed.

Friends may meet the family on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 12:30pm – 1:30pm at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13th Street North, Lethbridge.

A Funeral Service will begin at 2:00pm on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2213 6a Ave N, Lethbridge, AB.
