Patty was born in Winnipeg, MB, but she grew up of all over the place; Vancouver, Greenwood and a Ranch somewhere between Quesnel and Prince George, BC.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Casey Pryce, and her children; Shalane Pryce, Lana Lemay, Jesse Pryce (Denyal) and step-son Rob (Lisa) Collins. She will be missed by her grandchildren; Susan Brandi Jensen (Cam), Darrin Chaplin (Crystal) Porsche Dayman, Glenn Austin Holbrook, (Beaner) Jonavin Holbrook, Jordan Lemay (Jazmin), Selina Collins, Hayley Collins, Sadie Collins, Breaden Guenther (Isaac) Calum Collins, McKenna Pryce, Layla Anne Pryce, great-grandchildren; Izabel (Izzy), Branden-Lemay and Sebastian Castleton, plus her siblings; Tom (Nydia) Peterson, Jeff Peterson, Judy Fulton, and Heather Peterson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents Marguerite Peterson and Edward Peterson, plus her siblings; Barbara Brower of Winnipeg, MN, & Danny Peterson of Quesnel, BC, and her son Wade Pryce of Prince George, BC.
Patty met Casey Pryce while living in Mackenzie, as she babysat his children Wade and Shalane. On May 20th, of '72, shortly (very shortly) after her 18th birthday, Patty and Casey were married, and Wade and Shalane became her kids as well.
September of that same year she gave birth to their daughter Lana. I'll let you do the math on that. They bounced around all over the place between BC and Alberta for the next few years, even living in a bus for a while. There were many adventures along the way, some good, some bad. Patty gave birth to their son Jesse in March of 1981. In 1984, they finally settled in Quesnel, BC. They lived in their house on Heaton Rd for the next 11 years. Patty, Casey and the kids didn't know it then, but that would be the longest they ever stayed in one place (no thanks to Casey). Quesnel would also turn into somewhat of a home base that they would return to several times over the years.
Many memories took place in those years, none more important than her grandchildren starting to come into the world.
In '95 they were off again, following the next thing. By now, the only one at home was Jesse. Again, they bounced around for a few years before moving east to Lethbridge, AB. Lethbridge would also serve as another home base for them, as they returned several times over the years.
After a few years in Alberta, they moved back to Quesnel, and in March of 2007, Patty would suffer a massive heart attack that almost claimed her life. She had no pulse and received CPR for over 45 mins and was shocked with the defibrillator 11 times before she came back. She suffered a broken sternum, 3 broken ribs and a collapsed lung from receiving the CPR. Apart from a little short term memory loss, she recovered pretty well, for someone who had been through such trauma. Shortly after this was also when her health started to decline. The next parts of her life were spent between Quesnel and Lethbridge, a couple more times each.
We ended up with 16 more wonderful years with her, and we thank God for every one!
