Nelson Sakamoto 1959 – 2026

    It is great sadness that the family of Nelson Noboru Sakamoto announces his passing on Friday, June 19, 2026, at the age of 67 years.

    He is survived by his sister Michelle (Bob Brown), nieces Kiara, Sage, and Calista Brown.  He is predeceased by his parents, Ken and Amy, and brothers, Neal and Dwight.

    He brought levity and joy to all of us with his quick smile and carefree energy.  Loved ones remember his puckish presence fondly; in leaning on each other he reminded us we were stronger together.  He freely shared his thoughts, jokes, and his love was offered without reserve, and we were all richer for it.  He will be missed deeply.

    In keeping with Nelson’s final wishes, there will be an intimate service for family and friends.
