Joyce Witwicki, beloved wife of Melvin Witwicki, passed away on May 8, 2026, at the age of 85 years.
Joyce is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Melvin; her son, Mark Daniel (Dorinda Gunter) Witwicki of Lethbridge; her granddaughter, Stephanie Strawn and great-granddaughter, Finley Strawn of Kelowna; plus her grandchildren, Jared Moore and Kaia Marra Moore of Lethbridge; her sister, Bernice (John) Anderson of Red Deer; and her son-in-law, Fred (Carol) Horbay of Canmore. She was predeceased by her dear daughter, Deborah Lynn Witwicki.
Joyce was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who deeply loved her family and treasured time spent with those closest to her. She was always busy supporting her children through sports and caring for her home and family. Joyce enjoyed many activities throughout her life and especially loved five-pin bowling before later taking up ten-pin bowling as well. She was an accomplished golfer and proudly won two ladies’ championships.
Joyce also loved camping, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Later in life, as her vision began to decline, she slowed down from many of her activities, but she never stopped making time for the people she cared about most. In January of 2026, Joyce and Melvin celebrated the milestone of their 65th wedding anniversary together.
Joyce will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
