Loretta Mary Shastal
May 27, 1934 - August 28, 2021
It is with profound sadness that we had to say goodbye to our dear Mom.
Loretta was born in Carbon, Alberta, where she met and married Harvey Shastal. Together they raised four daughters. Loretta was as proud of her girls as they were of her. She had that small town heart in her soul. The North Side Community in Lethbridge all knew Loretta for her friendliness, kindness and generosity. She was a productive community member, was proud of her 25 years of volunteer work with Interfaith Food Bank and she also volunteered with Meals On Wheels. Loretta was an enthusiastic Church member.
Loretta is survived and grieved by Flossie (Ricky) Lee, Sharlene (Wayne) Remier, Shelley (Bob) Ledgerwood, Shannon Shastal (Rod Hillman); her two grandchildren, Jessica and Nikolas and four great-grandchildren; her sister Ellin Keil and brother Roland (Sandy) Harsch.
Loretta was predeceased by her husband Harvey, her brother Gilbert Harsch and sister Doreen Harsch.
She will be sadly missed by “The Girls", her sons-in-law, and long time pal Vi Hickman.
RIP Momma.
