Larry ‘Blair’ Reeves, beloved husband of Keri-Lynn of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully with his family by his side in the Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at the age of 45 years, after a short but hard-fought battle with cancer.
Blair is the loving father to his daughter; Kayla Reeves (Tyson Beddome) and their son; Rhett Beddome, of Lethbridge, as well as father to his son Riley Reeves of Lethbridge, as well as stepfather to his stepdaughters; Jordan Parlette and Téa Parlette, both of Kamloops, B.C.
Blair is also survived by his parents; Larry Reeves (Glenda Fleck) and Ruth Bates (Morley), his sister; Stephanie Ackroyd (Stephen), a stepsister; Mandi Bernhart (Troy), a stepbrother; Mark Bates (Cassandra), his grandmother; Norma Reeves as well as many extended family, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Blair was born in Edmonton, AB and spent his school years in Cardston, Lethbridge and Kamloops, BC. His last career was as an Engineer for CP Rails, which was his dream job. He played all kinds of sports and was good at all of them growing up. He was a trend setter and attracted people to him without even trying! He had many friends who called him their best friend. He followed the Oilers and the Blue Jays faithfully, as well as most other sports.
Fishing was a love of his and he was able to go Halibut fishing just in July 2023 in Alaska with some of his favorite people. His favorite childhood song was 'Pour Some Sugar on Me' by Def Leppard.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Pavan Park, 80 - 62 Ave. N, Lethbridge.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on Blair’s behalf to the Canadian Melanoma Foundation through canadahelps.org (see link below)
