Keith Terry Obituary

Keith Bingham Terry, was born May 16, 1943, in Lethbridge Alberta to James Franklin and Minnie Bingham Terry.  Keith was raised in Raymond along with his eight siblings.
He is predeceased by his parents, sisters Mona (Cleve Adamson), Verla (Lee Cress), brothers Roy (Darleen) Terry and Tom (Marilyn) Terry, his wives Nila (Schnoor) Marion (Cahoon). He is survived by his wife of ten years Jeannette Corpe, and three sons Morey (Caroline), Troy (Pauline), Robin (Krista),  his sisters Ann Myers, Diane Minion and Laraine (Jerry) Johnson and brother Ross (Jo)Terry.

Keith attended school in Raymond and was known as "Blondie" to his friends.  At age 22, he met and married the love of his life Nila Nadeen Schnoor.  Together they built their home in Lethbridge, and raised their three sons.  Keith worked as a plumber at Baxter Plumbing and Heating then completed his career with Charlton and Hill as an HVAC specialist.  His sons Morey, Troy and Robin, attended Winston Churchill High School and were strongly involved in Lethbridge Minor League Baseball.
Keith was a very supportive parent and served on parent committees, including his role as president of the baseball league.  The boys also played hockey and football all the while travelling weekends in the family van customized to accommodate fun and comfort.  Together Keith and Nila watched their three sons graduate from high school and saw Morey and Troy begin their married lives.  November 28, 1993, brought tragedy to the Terry and Schnoor families. Nila's life was cut short in a car accident. She has been dearly missed.

Time marched on and with that, Keith was able to find new love and married Marion Cahoon.  Together they worked, travelled and welcomed Robin's wife to the family, along with eight grandchildren (Samantha, Colton, Payton, Denver, Hannah, Shelby, Jordyn and Avery) who have been a source of great joy to Grandpa Keith.  Illness brought an early retirement for Keith.  After fifteen years together Marion lost her battle with cancer, leaving Keith once again alone.

On March 1, 2014, Keith married Jeannette Corpe.  Their travels were more geared to visiting family.   None of us remain young and healthy forever. Thankfully Jeannette's patience and previous expertise enabled her to assist Keith in their home as his physical and mental health declined.  In September, 2022, Keith began his life in Assisted Living then Dementia Care at the St Michael's Health Centre.  His care continued in the Long Term Care area.   Keith felt he had lived a full circle, having been born in the old St Michael's maternity ward as the first baby born, and returning to the same hospital to end his days.

A Graveside Service will be held in the Stirling Cemetery in Stirling, Alberta on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
