Besides his loving wife Echo, John is missed by his son Brad (Shannon), daughters Rebecca, Roberta, Jennifer (Ben) Boehr and granddaughters Carly and Adalyn Boehr. John was a Lions Club Member in Taber for five years where he was helping router and sell dozens and dozens of cedar wooden house signs. He was also a lifelong member of St. Martha’s Knights of Columbus Council 9280 and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4. He also enjoyed spending time on St. Martha’s Parish Council and many parent council associations in Taber and Lethbridge. He could always be counted on to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.
John was an inspiration to all who knew him and respected by all. He valued his time spent with friends.
John met Echo at a Swinging Singles Square Dance in the fall of 1970. They were married on June 24, 1972 in Bellevue, Alberta and together they raised their four children.
He had a successful 40 years in lumber and hardware retail. He managed Beaver Lumber Stores in Alberta and B.C. He spent his last 13 years with Peavey Mart managing the Wetaskiwin and High River stores. His retirement was really about appreciating and enjoying his family.
