Ginnean Paulette Briggs-Scout

It’s with great sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of our Princess of the Fish Eaters Clan, Ginnean Paulette Briggs-Scout. 

Ginnean was born November 9th of 1995 in Cardston, Alberta. Grandparents are Victoria Scout and (Ronnie Black Plume (D)) , (Patrick (D)) and Sylvia Bare Shin bone, (Gordon (D)) and Virginia Briggs. She is daughter to James and Vicki Briggs and sibling to Jocelyn (Francis) Vielle, Charmayne Scout, Albert (Sara) Briggs , Monty (Kaylee) Big Throat, Sarah and Trinity. Uncles & Aunties are Justine & Cletus Big Throat, Heather (Craig) Little Bear, Alisa (Lynn) Russell, Ashley Scout, Vince (Carrie) Scout, Kristy (Matt) Scout, Justin Weiss, Robert Briggs. Niece’s – Sophie Briggs, Celest Scout, Ayiana, Izabella, Serena, Mariah, Tatianna, Audrina. Nephews – Charlie Crow Eagle, Brady and Kade Bruised Head, Marcus Briggs, Monty Jr. Big Throat.

Ginnean grew up in Lethbridge on the westside and attended Children of St. Martha's School, then Father Leonard Van Tigham School.

She eventually got into a relationship that produced a baby girl named Lynnda, then a few years later she had a baby boy names James Jr.

Ginnean wanted to become a cosmetologist and so attended Bella Elite Beauty Academy.

She had a good heart and loved helping out where she could.

She was loved and will be extremely missed by friends and family.

A Wake Service will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024, from 6:00pm-11:00pm at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13th Street North. Vigil Rites will begin at 7:00pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30am on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at ST. MARTHA’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 355 Columbia Blvd W with Father William Monis, celebrant.

Ginnean will be laid to rest in Pioneer Cemetery in Levern, Alberta.
