George "Rolly" Leonard Rollingson

    Mr. George Leonard Rollingson, known to friends and family as “Rolly”, beloved husband of the late Mayda Rollingson, passed away at home on February 22, 2021 at the age of 71 years.

    He will be forever remembered by his children; Neil Rollingson (Rena), Dan Rollingson (Stephanie), and Shauna Rollingson, his grandchildren; Jonah and Sadie Rollingson, his sisters; Dawn Takeda (Richard), Barb Grady (Don), Lynn Grafe, Kim Bohner (George), Sue Palmer (Gez), and Terri Rollingson (Len Leonard). As well as many nieces and nephews.

    He was predeceased by his wife Mayda, his son Brian, and his parents Alberta and Eleanor.

    Rolly was raised on the family farm west of Lethbridge airport, and this remained a special place for him throughout his life. As a young man he served in the Canadian Military Reserves. In his younger years he enjoyed rodeoing and horseback riding. He provided for his family by working on a few large farm operations throughout Alberta. In his later years he enjoyed touring and competing in horseshoe tournaments.

    A Private Celebration of Life will be held with family at a later date.
