Eltie Bullock Helgerson, January 13, 1930 – May 25, 2022

    Eltie E. Helgerson, beloved wife of the late Duke Helgerson of Raymond, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, in Lethbridge at the age of 92 years.

   Eltie was born to David and Elizabeth Bullock. She had one sister and one brother and gained two stepbrothers. She loved adventure, and enjoyed her growing up years in Welling, with cousins and her best friend. On May 27, 1949, Eltie married the love of her life, Duke Helgerson. Together they raised five children: Shari, Diane, Wendy, Vicki and Ronnie Duke. From this, Eltie and Duke added twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, all who held a special place in her heart. Eltie’s greatest enjoyment was being down on the floor, playing games with these kids. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with unwavering faith.

    Eltie was a special friend to many. She will be missed, but we find comfort knowing she is now hugging the love of her life.

    We will celebrate Eltie’s life at a service in her honour at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Knight Street Chapel, Raymond, Alberta with President Richard Wilde officiating. Friends may meet with the family prior to the service from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. Interment will follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond.
