Dwight Susumu Sakamoto

It is with great sadness that the family of Dwight Susumu Sakamoto, of Lethbridge, announces his passing on April 23, 2025, at the age of 72 years, with his family at his side.

He is survived by his brother and best friend, Nelson of Lethbridge, sister Michelle (Bob Brown) of Calgary, nieces Kiara, Sage, and Calista Brown.  He was predeceased by his parents Ken and Amy, and brother, Neal.

Dwight was born on June 28, 1952, in Taber, AB.  He briefly lived in Calgary, then moved to Lethbridge where he resided until his passing.  He helped manage the seed plant in Canbra Foods until his retirement.

Dwight was a hardworking, caring and generous person, always thinking of others before himself.  He adored his nieces and was there to celebrate all their milestones in life.

In keeping with Dwight’s final wishes, there will be an intimate graveside service for family and friends on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 2:00PM, at Taber Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
