It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our partner, brother, uncle, and friend, Donnie Coutts.
Donnie passed away peacefully at St. Michael’s Health Centre on May 25, 2026, following a brief battle with Glioblastoma.
Donnie was born on April 17, 1960, to Georgina and Don Coutts. He is lovingly remembered by Jacqueline Byers; his sister, Lisa; and his nephews, Darryl and Justin Medoruma.
Don had a deep love for life, family, and music. Last year, Jackie and Don were able to attend The Who’s final concert together, a memory they cherished greatly.
A lifelong fan of the Montreal Canadiens, Don was a talented hockey player and golfer in his younger years. He continued to enjoy golfing with friends throughout his final years.
In accordance with Don’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate his life.
The family would like to sincerely acknowledge the exceptional care and compassion shown to Donnie during his final days at St. Michael’s Health Centre.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation in Don’s memory.
