Desiree Karen Lamb, beloved wife of Kerry Lamb, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away at her home in Hill Spring, AB on the morning of Sunday August 1st, 2021 at the age of 62.
She was the mother of Erin (Robert) Essex of London, England, Adam (Christa) Essex of Lethbridge, AB, and Keely (Colin) Essex of Calgary, AB. She is also survived by 5 stepchildren, 4 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews near and dear to her heart.
Desiree was born July 12th, 1959 in Prince George, BC. She was the child of Harriet and Heinz Wedhorn. She spent her career as a cherished teacher by her students and colleagues for over 25 years. She was a member of the LDS Church for her whole life and made a beautiful community of friends there within. Desiree passed on a love of nature and gardening, a gift for poetry, quilting and painting, and a strong devotion to her friends and family.
She will be missed profoundly.
The Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 9th, 2021 at Christensen Salmon Generations Funeral Home, 703 - 13 St. N, Lethbridge, at 1:00 p.m. We ask that this part of the service be for close family and friends. Please wear a mask. For anyone unable to attend, a livestream of this service will be available the day and time of service by clicking on a link that will appear below this obituary 20 minutes before the service starts. Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge (Scenic Drive) for all who would like to attend, and as well, a reception service to follow back at the church.
