Darcy Lloyd Ralph

    Darcy Lloyd Ralph, of Raymond, AB, beloved husband, father, and grandpa, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 68 years of age. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Marilyn Ralph, and children, Jenna (Josh), Avrey (Cody), Randon (Amanda), and Connor (Oshana), and 13 grandchildren, as well as his mother, Jazelle Ralph.

    Darcy Lloyd Ralph was the second child born to Jazelle and Lloyd Ralph in Raymond, Alberta. He grew up with siblings Jeri Lynn Ralph, Jim Ralph (Shelly) and Barbara Romeril (Ray).

    Darcy served an honourable mission in Tallahassee, Florida. Darcy married his childhood friend Marilyn Steed in 1983. Marilyn and Darcy were best friends. They shared 40 years together. Darcy would frequently call Marilyn whenever they were apart just to chat. He could get a hold of Marilyn even when she didn't have her cellphone. They loved going to movies but nothing topped being with their kids and grandkids. Darcy was a dedicated elementary teacher for 35 years and instilled a love of reading in many of his students, especially of Roald Dahl and Newberry award winners. Darcy was raised around horses and owned many race horses throughout his life. Darcy loved spending time in nature. He could be found picking berries with grandkids in his own vast garden, patiently leading nieces and nephews on a hike to learn how to fish in Waterton, and attending every Comet football and basketball game. Darcy was an integral part of his extended families' lives whether at sporting events with the Ralphs or the cabin with the Steeds, Darcy had us all laughing with his quick and clever humour. Darcy will be deeply missed by his friends, family and community. There’s no one quite like Darcy Ralph.

        Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Centre in Raymond, AB., (2N 200 W, Raymond) from 6:00 to 7:00 pm and prior to the funeral service from 10:00-10:45 am on Friday, November 10, 2023, with service to follow at 11:00 am. Interment to following the Temple Hill Cemetery.
