Caroline V Christiansen

    It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, Caroline Christiansen (Jensen) on February 25, 2023. Caroline was the daughter of Verna and Ephriam Jensen who raised their family in the Latter-Day Saints faith in Cardston, Alberta.

    At 18 years of age, she met her first husband, William Halliwell, who was stationed with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Cardston.

    She is survived by her daughter Celeste Halliwell and son Richard Halliwell (Pamela) with grandchildren, Kevin Chilton (Amanda), Zachery Halliwell (Sophie), Brad Halliwell, and Meg’n Halliwell as well as great-grandchildren Kenzi, Gracie, and Brinkley Chilton. Caroline is also survived by two older brothers: Ross Jensen (Marie) and Bryce Jensen (Louise) with numerous grand nieces and nephews.

    Her second husband, Alan Aycock, was a university professor of Anthropology followed by Computing Sciences. She had maintained contact with Alan’s son John Daniel Aycock (Shannon, Melissa, Amanda).

    Caroline had a great zest for life, playing classical piano, music, creating art and painting, fashion and sewing, and driving beautiful sports cars. She has had many wonderful friends and family members in her life that she has always and continues to cherish. Caroline had an unwavering love for animals, especially dogs. Her work involved CJOC television, advertising sales for CHEC radio, managing shopping malls (College, Park Meadows), in addition to sales for various companies. Caroline was very well read as she leaves an incredible library from the classics to the sciences as she always had a profound interest in learning.

    A celebration of life for Caroline will be held in summer of 2023 with her family and friends in Cardston where her ashes will be buried with her parents, Verna and Ephriam Jensen in the Cardston Cemetery.

    In lieu of flowers, Caroline would wish donations to be made to our local animal shelter, or animal rescue operations.
