Alice Kanashiro

KANASHIRO, ALICE  -  September 30, 1926 - October 26, 2019

    Alice Kanashiro (nee Kanna), beloved wife of John Kanashiro (deceased), passed away on October 26, 2019 at the age of 93 years.

    Alice is survived by her sons: Ron (Tonya), Barry (Sue), Warren (Margaret), Dale (Sharon), and Derrick (Cathy); six grandchildren: Satchi, Noah, Mitchell, Ryan, Zoe and Maya. Alice was one of four siblings born to Chofu and Toshi Kanna.

    Alice was born in Ignace, Ontario. The family was relocated to the Lethbridge area in 1940. Alice continued her life in the Lethbridge area enjoying time with friends and family. The family would like to thank the staff at Gardenview Lodge and at Chinook Regional Hospital for the friendship and care of their mother.

    Flowers and koden are gratefully declined. Those who wish may donate to the charity of their own choice.

    Relatives and Friends are invited to meet with family on Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 10:00 to 10:45 am at the Buddhist Temple of Southern Alberta, 470 - 40 Street South, Lethbridge. The Service will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Y. Izumi officiating.
