Adam Frech Jr

Adam Frech Jr. passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge, AB, surrounded by his loving family on November 12, 2021. He was 80 years old.

Adam is survived by his children, Linda (Chris) of Black Diamond, Jim (Connie) of Lethbridge, and Cindy (Robert) of Lethbridge. He will be missed by his Grandchildren; Cierra Frech, Ryan Yee, Taylor (Hannah) Yee, and his brother John (Lotte) Frech of Toronto.

He is predeceased by his parents Adam and Maria, his brother Phillip, and his daughter Lydia.

Adam was born in Hassagy, Hungary on August 16, 1941. In 1947 he and his family moved to Germany, and later immigrated to Canada in 1953, settling in the Picture Butte area.

Adam married Helen Szabo in 1962. They started their family the following year with their daughter Lydia, and then Linda, and their son Jim. Later they moved to Lethbridge, AB, and they completed their family with their daughter Cindy.

Adam’s greatest love was his family. His family always came first.

He enjoyed sports, and played soccer for Olympia, Harmonie National Soccer League in 1957.

Bird watching, camping and photography were amongst his other passions. He loved to take pictures wherever he went. Adam loved the outdoors, cold beers and sharing stories of days past. He was a collector of various interests and was a real jokester, always making people laugh. Even while in the hospital he didn’t lose his sense of humour and continued to crack jokes.

He will be sadly missed.

The Funeral Service for Adam will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Christensen Salmon Generations Funeral Home, 703 – 13 St. N, Lethbridge.

A private interment at Mountain View Cemetery will take place at a later date.
