Mr. Walter T Willetts passed away peacefully on December 14, 2019 at AdaptaCare Home - Cedar Creek, Lethbridge Alberta. He joins his late beloved wife of 56 years, Norma May. Walter was 90 years old.
Together, Walter and Norma had four daughters; Lorrie Loewen (Ken/ deceased), Denise Morrison, Colette Beck (Klaus) and Michelle Willetts. They were blessed with grandchildren Rick Morrison, Stacey Morrison (Dallas Langworthy), Ken Morrison (Erika), and great-grandchildren Alexis and Ryker Morrison. Walter will also be missed by his sister Norma McPherson, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends, plus the Ho family, who he had a special bond with, considered his own, and loved being their "Fireman Grandpa".
Walter is predeceased by his parents Elizabeth and Norman, his wife Norma May Willetts, daughter Denise Morrison, and brothers Jack and Ken Willetts.
A proud Firefighter for 38 years with the Lethbridge Firefighters IAFF local 237, Walter also served as President on the board for the Firefighter's Union. With St. John Ambulance, he received an award from the Governor General for his service of over 30 years.
Cremation has taken place and family will be holding a private service.
