Sean Court Obituary

SEAN TIMOTHY COURT, beloved husband of Sara Campbell Court of Raymond and father to Ronnie and Norah, son of Tim and Carol Court of Cardston, passed away in Raymond, Alberta on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at the age of 40 years.
Sean is also survived by his grandmother, Faye French, his siblings; Tami (Carlos) Tolley, Lindsey (Mark) Still, Ben (Shay) Court, his mother-in-law; Lorraine Campbell, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents; Max and Jeanette Court, grandpa Ed French, uncle Monte Court, and also by his father-in-law, Ronald Campbell.
Sean was born on January 25, 1978 in Lethbridge, Alberta, the oldest of Tim and Carol's 4 children. He was a fighter from the beginning, being born 10 weeks premature, and continued to be a fighter throughout his life as he struggled with various health problems. Sean grew up in Glenwood and Cardston, where he attended school and graduated from Cardston High School in 1996. He participated in football, baseball, and band, where he made many lifelong friends. Baseball and slo-pitch were his passion and he loved any chance he got to play, and he loved to watch the Toronto Blue Jays with his Grandpa Court and other family members, especially his dad and brother.
In February 1997, Sean left to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Santa Rosa, California for two years. He loved his mission, he loved the gospel, and he loved the people of California and serving them. He made many lifelong friends while on his mission.
Sean met and married Sara Campbell in 2011 and they have two children, Ronnie and Norah. They were sealed as a family in the Cardston Temple in 2015. Sean's wife and children were the joy of his life.
Sean was diagnosed at the age of 20 with a brain tumour and spent the last 12 years actively fighting it. Sean endured many years of treatments and surgeries and always kept a positive outlook and attitude. He fought to the very end to stay with his family.
Sean had a great sense of humour and loved to laugh and joke around. He was a great and loyal friend, and he was a great example to his family and friends, and will be missed by many.
The family would like to thank all of the many health care providers who cared for Sean over the years, especially the nurses and staff at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, Raymond Home Care, and the Raymond Health Centre, who cared for him in his final weeks.
Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, RAYMOND STAKE CENTRE, or prior to the service at the church on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 12:00 to 12:45 pm.
The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm on Wednesday at the Raymond Stake Centre with Bishop Dirk Salmon officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond.
