Robert Joseph Proctor

     ROBERT JOSEPH PROCTOR, of Raymond, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the age of 49 years.

     A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, KNIGHT STREET CHAPEL, in Raymond, Alberta. Friends may meet with the family prior to the service at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.

     Interment will follow in the Stirling Cemetery, Stirling, Alberta.

     I was given the gift of life and now my Heavenly Father has graciously released me from pain and called me home. This is hard. But I was a lucky man, who led a lucky existence, and for this I am grateful. I have been sick for a few years now, struggling through many surgeries and ailments. When the sun came up in the mornings I did my best to enjoy my days. I decided to be joyful about having had a life full of hunting, fishing and spending time with my kids, Ben and Ella, family and friends, rather than sad about my misfortunes. I love my kids and lived each day for them. Amazingly, this outlook worked as I have been blessed with so many dear and eternal friendships. I am grateful to know that families are forever and that one day we will all be together again. At any rate, I am at peace and out of pain. And on that upbeat note, I smile with memories from this mortal world as I look forward to reuniting with my dad and friends…

and regret only one thing, leaving a day too soon and missing out on the legalization of my favorite recipe condiment.
