Grace H. Wickham

    On Sunday, June 2, 2019, Grace H. Wickham of Lethbridge passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at West Highlands Good Samaritans, at the age of 89 years. She is survived by her two sons, Tim (Julaine) of Red Deer and Dennis (Marie) of Lethbridge, grandchildren Lorinda, Stephanie and Brenna (Fredrik), great grandchildren Abby and Larz, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson Trevor Wickham, George and siblings Joyce, Howard, Dermot, Desmond (Tim), and Patricia.

    Grace was born May 18, 1930 in Lloydminster. Saskatchewan. In 1949 she married George Wickham, and they farmed in the Vermillion area.  In the late 1960’s they moved to Edmonton. In the 1970’s Grace began working for Woodwards, where eventually she ended up in Lethbridge.  Grace spent most of her life working in the hospitality industry. She enjoyed meeting people and made many good friends through her work. She adored her family with unconditional love and support. Most family members would tell you that she gave the best hugs. They will be missed.

    She always was quick with wisecracks, even in her final days.

    A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 8, 2019 at St Augustine’s Church, 411 - 11 Street South, Lethbridge, at 3:00 pm followed by gathering to remember her.
