George Albert Shanks

George Albert Shanks, beloved husband of Sherrie Shanks, passed away of a sudden heart attack on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the age of 73 years.

He was predeceased by his Mother Isabella and Brother Fred.

He also leaves behind daughters Talya (Darcy) and Kyla (Kevin), Stepdaughter Lisa, Stepson Lenard, sons Gjordae, Jayce, Jarus (Crystal) daughters Ryane (Phil) and Quinn. Many grandchildren whom he never met but loved all the same.

A man devoted to his life as a husband and father. Taxi driver to his city of Lethbridge for over 45 years. To most of his customers he was well known as “Santa” due to his Snowwhite hair and beard. Having a smile and wise words for all he met in his cab and travels. George was a man of values, honesty, trust, devotion, laughter, life and stories. Grateful for his time he had, his hope is to be remembered well and long.

A memorial service will be held on Friday August 31, 2018 at 2 pm at Lethbridge Christian Tabernacle 1805 9 Ave N, Lethbridge.
