George Alex Kundrik

George Alex Kundrik passed away at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital on Monday January 1st, 2018 at the age of 86. He is survived by his sister Helen Mehalko and brothers Julius (Mary) and John, and numerous nephews and nieces. He was pre-deceased by his parents Julius and Anna Kundrik, along with his brother-in-law John Mehalko and sister-in-law Betty Kundrik.

George Kundrik was born at the Galt Hospital and attended school in Coalhurst where the family farmed. Later he ran his own farm. His brothers Julius and John farmed the neighboring farms. Upon retiring he moved to Lethbridge where he devoted many years to caring for his ailing mother.

After suffering a serious stroke in 2000, he worked hard to regain his mobility and could be seen walking the streets of South Lethbridge with his quad cane for many years. He always managed to keep a sense of humor even when his health deteriorated.

He enjoyed going out for family meals especially at the New Dynasty Restaurant.

At George’s request, no formal funeral service will be held.
