Ethel (Sarchuk) Jarvis

Ethel (Sarchuk) Jarvis, beloved wife of the late Marvin Dalmain Jarvis passed away peacefully on Friday November 09, 2018 at the age of 90 years young in Raymond, AB.

          Ethel was born October 28,1928 in Wakaw, Saskatchewan. She grew up on the family farm when one room school houses were the norm. As a girl she was immersed in the Ukrainian culture and learned their special dancing. She graduated from a business school and was pleased with her accomplished years working at a bank in Edmonton.

          Ethel was predeceased by her husband Dal, after 66 years of marriage. She is also predeceased by both her parents John & Annie (Wojcichowsky) Sarchuk and two brothers Walter of Thompson, MB & Peter of Doremy, SK. A son Ken Jarvis of Calgary and two grandsons Robert- son of Rita Dechant & Chris- son of Donna Jarvis.

          She is survived by sons Bill (Lorna) Jarvis of High River, Gerald (Edithe) Jarvis of Raymond, Richard (Nila) Jarvis of Rapid City, S.D., Ryan Jarvis of Calgary and daughters; Lorrie (Garry) Gramlich of Raymond, Rita (Gene) Dechant of Fairview, Donna Jarvis of Calgary, Heather (Ken-deceased) Jarvis of Calgary, Peggy Pitcher of Calgary and Lynn (Donald) Wright of Calgary. Ethel is also survived by 37 grandchildren, 79 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

          A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, November 16, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – TAYLOR STREET CHAPEL (221 N 400 W - Raymond, AB), with Counselor Richard Brandley, officiating. Friends may meet the family prior to service at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

          Interment at 3:30 p.m. at the Barnwell Cemetery.
