Dorothy Madeline deBoone Madson
- Dorothy was born May 9, 1921 to Thomas Benjamin Wells and Ellen Adelaide Milliken of Robsart, SK. She passed away at Good Samaritans in Lethbridge, AB September 27 at the age of 97.
Dorothy married Wallace Madson on November 19, 1940 in Eastend, SK. They resided at the farm south of Robsart until 1983 when they retired to Maple Creek.
Dorothy was an accomplished seamstress, sewing for others at age 12. In 1960, she started teaching sewing through Adult Education sponsored by the University of Saskatoon. She travelled many miles in south-west Sask. Teaching basic through tailoring. She did this for 27 years, she also taught sewing for the 4H club for 15 years.
She leaves to mourn, her 3 children: Neil and Inez of Sundre, Waine and Effie of Coaldale and Joyce of Lethbridge; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 12 step-great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Wallace in 2003 and granddaughter Sherry in 2015.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Christensen Salmon Generations Funeral Home, 703 – 13 Street North, Lethbridge. Interment will take place in the Maple Creek Cemetery, SK.
