Charlotte Bexte

Charlotte Bexte, beloved wife of the late Hugo Bexte, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, September 24th, 2019 at the age of 88 years.

She leaves behind daughters Christina Bexte (Ian Phillips) of Edmonton, Martina Bexte of Lethbridge, sons Karl Bexte (Linda) of Iron Springs and Dirk Bexte of Picture Butte as well as granddaughters Lindsay, Taylor and Melissa.

Mum was born in Germany in 1931 and in December of 1955 settled in the Picture Butte area.  She and dad chose farm life and eventually moved to a small acreage.  Here her knack for gardening bloomed into close to four decades of market gardening.  She always liked to try something new, whether it was vegetable or flower. Even as it became more difficult for her to get around, she made sure her chickens kept laying, the rabbits and barn cats were well fed, and that her garden brought in a bountiful harvest to share with family and friends.

As per mum`s wishes, there will be no funeral service.  Family and friends are invited to drop in and join us on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 2-4 PM at the Picture Butte United Church Hall to celebrate our mother`s life and legacy. 

In lieu of flowers those who wish may make a donation to the Canadian Red Cross.

Mum, you will remain forever in our hearts.
