“No Brad your time is not yet” said his mom in Heaven, but unfortunately on November 17, 2019 awhile after seeing his mom, Brad passed away peacefully to be with her again at the age of 61. He only told his daughter a day before his passing that he wanted to fight to stay alive, but his heart had other plans.
Brad leaves behind his beloved dog Oscar, they were unseparable. He also leaves behind his two children Michele and Jeff (Cheena) and their mother Debbie Werk. His two brothers Victor (Shelly) and Larry (Brenda). To his two grandchildren Zane and Matilda know that you brought him great joy in the short time he knew you. To the numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends know that Brad cherished you as well.
He was predeceased by his parents Alfred Reinhart Werk and Betty Jean Ellis. His two sisters Victoria O’Donnell and Diane Law.
I’m so lucky to know my father has gotten his wings and learned to fly high in the sky. To a man that planted seeds into the ground, nurtured them into a bountiful crop. To a hunter that taught young men how to handle a gun and respect what mother nature created. To a carpenter that can take a pile of wood, a hammer and nails to create a stunning home, and to a man that was able to control an 18 wheeler with grace and confidence. Way to go Dad.
Those wishing to pay their respects can meet the family on Thursday November 21, 2019 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Christensen Salmon Generations Funeral Home - 703 13 St N, Lethbridge. Interment will take place at Warner Cemetery on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the 24 Hour Family Pet Hospital, in his name.
