Sharynne is survived by her husband, Richard Thomas, her children, Boyd Thomas, Brandon Thomas, Stacie Mock, Scott Thomas and her siblings, Mary Jean Voll of Lacombe, AB and Scott (Donna) Boyd of Drayton Valley, AB.

Sharynne was born on Friday, March 22, 1946 in Calgary, Alberta. She was the first-born of four children to Gerald (Buster) and Mabel Boyd. They settled in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, and it became their hometown where they raised their children, Sharynne, Gary, Mary Jean and Scott. This was the place where the Boyd family would often gather for family gather and remember Gramma and Grampa’s.  Sharynne and her siblings grew up in Shaunavon and this was the place of many stories and memories.  She had a variety of interests.  These included figure skating, music (playing the organ) and painting with mostly with oil colours, but she did try her hand at water paints.  She was an avid reader of fiction novels and could devour books at an amazing rate. One of her favourite pastimes was to clean the hundreds of Perch, Pike and Pickerel fish that her children caught while at the dam.  Ok, it was not her favourite pastime, but it was something she did with love and there was a lot of love during those summers that the family enjoyed at Reid Lake, mostly referred to Duncairn Dam or Ferguson Bay.

Sharynne loved her family with a passion. Not only her children but her nieces and nephews and the many friends that her children brought home or to go to the lake with. She made sure that anyone who came over was treated as either as one of her own children or as a member of the family.  Her children describe Mom as a woman who “loved hard”.  She poured love into people with a unique and sincere determination.  When you were greeted, you were certain to see a big smile an expression of joy and the mandatory hug.  She valued her extended and her friends with equal fervour.  She will be remembered for her love, generosity and how she invested attention her attention into those around her.   All of her 14 grandchildren were precious to her and she took great joy in her great-grandchildren, Jude, Hanna, Eli, Eva, and Eloise.

Mom, we love you. We will miss you, but we have a calm peace in our spirits knowing that you are secure and safe in your relationship with God through Jesus our Saviour.  Our tears are not in torment or anxiety, but in fond memory of your touch and love in our lives until we see you again.
