It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Ms. Karen Elizabeth Nemec of Lethbridge, AB, who left us on March 12, 2018 at the age of 72, surrounded by her loved ones.
Karen was the first born of 5 children on March 1, 1946 in Regina, Saskatchewan. She was full of life and loved to talk and visit with everyone. Karen had a love for animals and excelled at everything she set her mind to. She was a book keeper, then started selling Party Lite and absolutely loved it as she enjoyed being out and doing what she loved best; interacting with people. Karen was also involved with the Paw Society, volunteering and fostering cats.
She is survived by her son Duane Eddy of Kamloops, BC & daughter Darla Baumann (Clayton) of Medicine Hat, AB, Grandchildren Lane & Cole, grandson Alexander Eddy (Jessica). Her brothers Bruce Buckmaster (Florence) of Calgary, AB & John Buckmaster (Sandy) of Creston, BC, and numerous nieces & nephews. Special friend Ron Noel.
She was predeceased by her daughter Wanda, mother Lucille, sisters Joanne & Jane.
We will always carry your memory in our hearts, loving mother, grandma & sister.
Special thanks to the staff of St. Michaels for their wonderful care during her brief stay.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Paw’s Society, or of one’s choosing.
