It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Amy Pope Gray on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the age of 88 years.
Amy was born in Trois - Rivieres, Quebec, February 14, 1929. She was predeceased by her brother Stephen, sister Frances, her parents Marguerite and Luchard Judson, and by her dear husband of 61 years, Ed who passed away in 2016.
Amy’s father was born in Galveston, Texas and immigrated to Canada where he served in the Canadian Navy in WW1 and worked in fire protection & forestry in the Three Rivers area. Amy’s grandfather Sir Joseph Pope served in many significant capacities in the Canadian government.
Amy was a lover of music, books, and the great out of doors. She was a devout Christian and enjoyed reading and learning every day. She and Ed enjoyed many wilderness adventures in Canada and the U.S. Next to Ed her greatest love was her “puppy dogs” and she shared stories about them at every opportunity. Amy leaves behind many friends including Ron & Cynthia Langlo of Calgary.
“Look to this day, for yesterday is but a dream, and tomorrow is only a vision. But today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness, and every tomorrow a vision of hope. Look therefor to this day.”
At her request, no formal service will be held.
